Vet Clinic Volunteer (VCV)

Shifts available: Weekday afternoons from 1-4 pm
Purpose of the position: To assist the veterinary staff in daily clinic duties. This position is fast-paced and requires a volunteer with quick learning skills. Veterinary Clinic Volunteers clean instruments, wrap surgical packs, and maintain the cleanliness of the clinic during their shift. This position has very little animal contact.
Duties:
• Clean and sterilize surgical instruments
• Assist with laundry
• Sweep and mop
• Performs other duties as assigned by clinic staff
Requirements: Volunteers in this position are exposed to various cleaning agents. This position includes bending, lifting (of up to 35 lbs) repetitive motion, and standing for significant periods of time.
Training Required: Orientation/Dog and Cat Skills/On-the-job training
