Event & Outreach Volunteer

Duties:
- Represent PAWS at community events and major fundraisers like PAWSwalk and PAWS Wild Night
- Support outreach efforts by engaging with the public, sharing PAWS’ mission, and answering basic questions
- Assist or lead event roles such as setup and breakdown (load in/load out), tabling, registration, auction support, and general event assistance
- Help create a welcoming, positive experience for attendees, donors, and community members
- Follow direction from Event Leads and PAWS staff
- Attend any required training sessions prior to events
- Provide occasional support before or after events as needed
Qualifications:
- Strong customer service and communication skills; comfortable engaging with the public
- Able to represent PAWS in a professional and mission-focused way
- Able to work independently and take direction from staff and team leads
- Able to bend, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 20 pounds
- Reliable, flexible, and able to adapt in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to pass a background check
Time commitment: Events take place throughout the year, with increased opportunities during peak seasons. Major event times include PAWSwalk (May/June) and Wild Night (October).
