Meet Catherine

Directing a school-wide supply drive.

Thanks to Catherine’s leadership, the Animal Welfare Club at Shorecrest High School was recently inspired to complete a donation drive for the pets of PAWS! During the month of January, they collected 139 items – far surpassing their goal of 30!

Their pet supplies drive highlighted our ongoing need for dog and cat food and treats. They didn’t stop there, though! Wanting to make their donations as useful as possible, they even included a QR code for our PAWS Wish List on their announcement slides!

Her favorite part was “seeing the results! I could have never imagined this many items being donated.” In addition to food, they also rounded up donations of some snazzy pet clothes and toys!

When asked what advice she would give to others who want to help animals, she suggested “to spend time thinking about the nutritional and enrichment needs of animals. Knowing what they need is the key to ensuring their health and happiness!” We couldn’t agree more.
