I was trapped as a stray and I was terrified at first. The shelter environment overwhelmed me, and the good humans at PAWS recognized that I needed some extra TLC. I was lucky to get placed with an amazing foster mom who patiently helped me out of my shell. Treats, toys, and quiet, quality time spent in my presence are what I needed to gradually decompress.
I am very play and toy motivated! My favorite toys are catnip toys and mice - I get all silly, rolling around and rubbing them against my cheeks. Even when I was hiding throughout the day, my foster mom would find evidence of me partying all night with my toys. I am excellent at entertaining myself and I would prefer to be the one and only kitty in your life! My foster also reports that I eat well, hydrate well, and am a litter box champion.
It will likely take me a while to feel safe enough for pets. I am looking for someone who is prepared for a slow-blooming relationship supported by playtime, treats, and gentle attention.
