Sat, Sep. 10, 2016 4:00pm — 8:00pm
639 W Main St, Monroe, WA 98272
Come witness and celebrate an amazing natural event occurring in our community - the arrival of the second largest roost of Vaux’s Swifts in America. Watch thousands of these birds swirl into a 4ft square chimney in minutes!
A spaghetti feed starts at 4:00 p.m. Swift experts will be on hand 6:00-8:00 p.m. to answer your questions. There will also be information booths with birds, mementos, and more, as well as fun activities for kids and refreshments.
PAWS staff and volunteers will be at this exciting event, raising awareness of the role our wildlife hospital plays in the rescue, rehabilitation and release of wild birds and mammals from across Washington State.
Bring a blanket or lawn chair, enjoy the show and support PAWS at the same time!
This event is organized by the Monroe Save Our Swifts project. For more details, visit their official website.
