Lifetime Care Program
Most of us expect to outlive our animal companions, but what if you are no longer able to care for them due to medical incapacity or death? The best choice is to place your pet with a family member or friend they are already familiar with. If that is not possible, another option is PAWS’ Lifetime Care Program, created for those Visionary League members who have included PAWS in their will.
We do not stipulate how much your bequest gift should be; amounts vary widely depending on financial resources. All we ask is that you make a planned gift that is significant for you.
Once you have finalized your will, the Lifetime Care Program ensures that adoptable cats or dogs who survive you will be cared for by PAWS until the best and most appropriate home(s) are found for them.
Applying for the Lifetime Care Program
Membership in our Lifetime Care Program requires enrollment, so please contact us to request the application forms if you are considering this as part of your estate planning. You can designate PAWS in your will or trust either as your first choice guardian or as a contingent guardian.
Lifetime care is available for up to six cats or dogs per household, who reside in the state of Washington. We are not able to collect your animals, so please make arrangements in your will for your animals to be transported to PAWS.
For more information, or to let us know you have already included PAWS in your estate plans, please contact Rachel Bishop at 425.412.4036 or email@example.com. All inquiries are kept strictly confidential and imply no obligation for you to make a gift.
PAWS is recognized as a 501(c)(3) non-profit. Our tax ID number is 91-6073154.
