  • Letter of Intent
Please tell us about your career goals and what you hope to gain from the internship, as well as your qualifications and what you can bring to the position.
  • Current Resume
  • Letters of Recommendation
Please provide 3 letters of recommendation from academic, student leadership or professional references.
  • College Transcript
    An unofficial transcript is acceptable.

Email any additional questions to Jennie Baxla.

Alternatively you can mail your application to:

Jennie Baxla, Wildlife Volunteer Program Manager
PO Box 1037
Lynnwood, WA 98046

Please note: All materials must be submitted together in one packet (aside from the internship application and questionnaire, which are submitted electronically). Only applicants who follow the instructions and complete the application process in full will have their responses reviewed for consideration. If references prefer to send their letters in separately, that is fine, but the applicant should make a note of this when applying.

Priority Deadlines

We accept applications on a rolling basis. Typically, our internships are available seasonally as follows:

  • Summer Internships: May–August
  • Fall Internships: September–December
  • Winter Internships: January–March
  • Spring Internships: March–May

The Decision Process

You will receive an email confirmation of our receipt of your application materials. We regret that we are unable to respond to status inquiries over the phone. Applications will continue to be reviewed until positions are full; however, applications received before the deadlines will be given priority.

Applicants will be notified by email should they be chosen to participate in an interview with the Volunteer Program Manager and the Rehabilitation Manager.
