World Spay Day 2013

Low-cost spay/neuter in King, Snohomish, Pierce, Island and Skagit Counties in Washington.

On Tuesday, February 26, 2013 as part of the international World Spay Day campaign, PAWS, along with shelter partners Community Cat Coalition, Everett Animal Services, Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project, Homeward Pet Adoption Center, Humane Society of Skagit Valley, MEOW, NOAH Animal Adoption & Spay/Neuter Center, Pasado's Safe Haven, Purrfect Pals, Regional Animal Services of King County, Seattle Animal Shelter, Seattle Humane Society, WAIF, and other local veterinary clinics in Snohomish, King, Pierce, Island and Skagit Counties (in Washington State) offered low-cost spay and neuter surgeries.

In all, 1,020 surgeries were completed— 775 for cats, 236 for dogs and 9 for rabbits. This annual effort helps end the suffering of unwanted and homeless animals in our community by preventing unplanned litters. Spaying and neutering also helps our animal friend’s live longer, healthier lives.
