This little fellow was rescued by a Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife officer after getting himself stuck in a retaining wall on Lake Union for five days. Orphaned, but otherwise in good health, he will overwinter at PAWS and be reintroduced to the wild next spring.
This orphaned Bobcat kitten was found casing a chicken coop in Redmond. Before all hen broke loose, the owner lured her into a live trap using chicken giblets, then delivered her to PAWS.
Samson the Pit Bull couldn’t be happier after PAWS reunited him with his guardian, Angel. Samson had been missing for more than a year when PAWS staff took him in. A quick scan for a microchip brought up Angel’s information, and within hours the two were together once again! Last year PAWS returned nearly 500 lost animals to their guardians.
Ghandoon spends a little time getting to know her new guardians after being rescued from a shelter in Iran. This Anatolian Shepherd mix is one of two dogs taken in by PAWS after the Iranian government threatened a ban on companion animals.
