Combating a Deadly Disease
PAWS has received 250 rabies vaccines to participate in the “World Rabies Day” campaign by the Global Alliance for Rabies Control. While supplies last, the vaccines will be administered for free to pets of clients using the PAWS low-cost spay/neuter clinic. “The ability to offer these households a free rabies vaccine will be a significant benefit, especially since their pets may not be receiving routine veterinary care, and many of the clients have limited access to information on disease prevention,” explains Dr. Keiko Young. Qualified low-income individuals can make an appointment for their cat, dog or rabbit to be spayed or neutered and receive a free rabies vaccine by calling 425.787.2500 x849.

PAWS Wild Night is Moving Uptown
We have some exciting news for you! PAWS Wild Night 2012 is being held at the Fremont Studios in Seattle on April 14. The facility offers a more unique experience for our fun-loving crowd, and Fremont Studios has generously offered to be a sponsor of the event. Through a high-tech audio/visual system, we can feature the stories from PAWS in a more dynamic way, and the catering by Wild Ginger promises to be as adventurous as it is delicious.
“The new space will allow everyone more room to move around the silent auction area as well as offer a more intimate feel in the main ballroom,” says Aimee Sheridan, PAWS Director of Development and Community Relations. PAWS Wild Night is Saturday, April 14, 2012. The gala sold out early last year and space is limited, so be sure to reserve your tickets early to guarantee your seat. Tickets for PAWS Wild Night go on sale in November at paws.org.
