Without a cloud in the sky, a spirited crowd of more than 1,500 animal lovers and their canine friends celebrated the work of PAWS at the 18th annual PAWSwalk, presented by 98.9 KWJZ. A record-breaking 156 teams led the way to raise more than $190,000 for the wild and companion animals in need, and had a blast doing it.
A Northwest tradition lived on when charismatic Master of Ceremonies Penny Legate guided the walkers through Magnuson Park on a bright Seattle Saturday morning. After the walk, people enjoyed animal-friendly shopping, learning more about PAWS, the interactive Kids' Zone, doggie massage and more. Thank you to every sponsor, volunteer, donor and walker who made this event such a success, helping PAWS to continue our life-saving work.
