PAWSwalk a barking success!

More than 1,200 friends—and at least as many dogs—came out to support PAWS on September 8 at the 16th annual PAWSwalk, presented by 98.9 Smooth Jazz KWJZ. Breaking all previous records, we had the most walkers, the most teams, the most sponsors, and the most beautiful weather in PAWSwalk history. By the end of the day, we were all wagging our tails in celebration of raising more than $175,000 to help the animals in our care!

Led by Grand Marshall Penny LeGate of KIRO 7 Eyewitness News, the human and canine participants strolled through Magnuson Park along the 5K walk, before enjoying the canine agility course, an animal first aid demonstration, fun contests, and shopping at more than 40 animal-friendly sponsor booths.

Our heartfelt thanks to everyone for making PAWSwalk such a memorable event!
