Plumbers, Electricians, and Carpenters needed for Lynnwood Wildlife Center
The Wildlife center has many projects scheduled for this year that involves the skills of plumbers, electricians and carpenters. We need your help to make these projects a reality for our wildlife patients. We are also in need of several large storage sheds; the wooden pre-fabricated style ranging in size from 10x10 to 20x20, and any dimensional lumber such as 2x4’, 2x6’s and plywood. If you can help, please call Dominic at (425) 787-2500 ext. 819. The PAWS companion animal shelter has weekday morning volunteer positions available as Cat Room Cleaners and Kennel Cleaners. Shifts are from 9 am -12 noon or 8:30 am -11:30 am respectively. Come snuggle with kitties and play with the dogs while working to provide a clean environment for them. Weekday and weekend phone response team volunteer positions available. Hours are flexible and training is provided! Educate the public on companion animal issues by volunteering for this valuable position. Weekday and weekend adoption assistant volunteer positions available. On the job training available! Shifts range in start times beginning at noon. Join us while we educate the public on companion animal issues and place animals into permanent, loving homes. All volunteer positions require a 3-month once-a-week commitment. PAWS and the animals of the Northwest lost a great friend as noted Environmentalist Hazel Wolf died in mid-January at age 101. Hazel Wolf had long championed the environment through her work with the Audubon Society. PAWS will dearly miss the tireless dedication of Hazel Wolf. PAWS is always in need of dedicated volunteers to serve as foster families for our companion animals. With kitten season rapidly approaching, we are especially in need of kitten foster parents. Ann Watkins, PAWS foster care coordinator, says: "I’ll be looking for all manner of kitten care, from moms with litters, to orphan newborns, to rowdy six week olds who need a couple weeks of care." Your time is too valuable to be spent counting and wrapping them for deposit – and the coins are too important to PAWS to just sit on your dresser! Please take them to your nearest Coinstar machine (usually in grocery stores) and dump them in. You can donate them to PAWS by selecting nonprofit C.O.I.N. # 7297. You’ll receive a tax receipt and we’ll receive a check to help the animals! You can help PAWS through your workplace giving program! If your company supports United Way you can direct donations to PAWS simply by writing "PAWS of Lynnwood" on the form as the designated charity of your choice.
