Youth Spotlight: Isabel

Isabel has been interested in PAWS since she was five years old and had visited the Companion Animal Shelter to see the cats and dogs. In past holidays, she has emptied her piggy bank to provide holiday cheer to the animals at PAWS during Christmas time.

For her 7th birthday party, Isabel decided she wanted to do even more. In Isabel's words, "I asked my friends to bring pet food and toys to donate to PAWS instead of birthday gifts for me, to help pets who don't have homes."

Her friends and their parents loved the idea and were happy to participate. Isabel had a dog-themed party and many of her friends brought their dogs. It was a great success. Everyone had fun playing with all the well-loved dogs and Isabel was able to provide a generous donation of $130 worth of toys, food and cash.

Isabel hopes to adopt her own dog from PAWS one day, to join their two family dogs. Thank you Isabel for your generous heart and for helping the animals at PAWS!
