World Spay Day 2012

Spay or neuter your companion animal at a discounted rate.

On Tuesday, February 28, 2012 as part of the international Spay Day campaign, PAWS, along with shelter partners Everett Animal Services, Homeward Pet Adoption Center, MEOW, NOAH Animal Adoption & Spay/Neuter Center, Feral Cat Spay/Neuter Project, Pasado's Safe Haven, Seattle Humane Society, WAIF, Humane Society of Skagit Valley, and local veterinary clinics in Snohomish, King, Island and Skagit Counties (in Washington State) offered low-cost spay and neuter surgeries.  

In all, 631 surgeries were completed—494 for cats and 137 for dogs. This annual effort helps end the suffering of unwanted and homeless animals in our community by preventing unplanned litters. Spaying and neutering also helps our animal friends live longer, healthier lives.

Missed Spay Day 2012? Please refer to a list of clinics that offer low-cost spay/neuter surgeries year-round. Please encourage friends and family to do the same for their animals. Share with them the benefits of spaying and neutering.
