Position description: Nearly half of all of the cats adopted from PAWS are adopted from PAWS Cat City adoption center in Seattle's University District. Feline Transport Team members transport cats and kittens from our shelter in Lynnwood to PAWS Cat City and vice versa. Team members might also help transport cats to offsite adoption events. Between the months of April and December, we make as many as 10 transports a week.
Duties include: socializing and comforting the cats; transporting cats to offsite locations; providing for the cats safety at all times during the transport; using the correct transport carriers and equipment; monitoring behavior of cats before transporting; and ensuring the paperwork of each cat is correct and also transported to the offsite location. Feline Transport Team Members Volunteers use their own vehicles and gas for these transports. Volunteers must have their own insured vehicle and a valid Washington State driver's license.
