Thank you for coming to PAWSwalk and showing your support for animals in need!
PAWSwalk is fun for the whole family, and the Kids Zone is the perfect place for kids to participate in fun and active animal-related educational activities run by PAWS' humane education team. This year's activities include crafts, hands-on learning and more!
Be sure to visit the agility course, always one of PAWSwalk's most popular attractions, run by Canine Behavior Center. This area features exhilarating demonstrations by trained agility dogs. You and your dog are also welcome to give it a try with the help of an experienced trainer.
New to PAWSwalk this year, the Seattle FlyDogs will join us with some exciting flyball demonstrations. Don't miss the opportunity to also test your dog out on the flyball course!
We're excited to offer two new contests this year! Do people tell you your dog looks just like you? Or do you have a dog who can ride a bike while barking the alphabet? Well these are the contests for you! Register your pooch for free at the PAWS Info Booth outside the hangar between 8:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., and your four-legged best friend could be a winner.
This is your pup's chance to be a star! Visit the CityDog Magazine booth starting at 8:00 a.m., and for $10 you can register your canine pal for his or her chance to grace the cover of an issue of CityDog Magazine, read by savvy dog-lovers across Puget Sound and down the west coast. Space is limited, so be sure to show up early to claim your spot in the contest, which will be held at 12:00 noon at the main stage.
Jennifer Streit, LMP, SAMP of Hands to Paws Animal Massage will be giving complimentary massage treatment for tired dogs throughout the day at her booth. Bring your pooped-out pal by for a well-deserved break!
The PAWS 2011 Calendar features beautifully captured photos of companion animals, taken by B. Sparks Fine Art Dog Photography. This is your first chance to own this gorgeous calendar for $15, all of which directly helps the animals at PAWS.
Pick up your copy at the PAWS Store, and then visit the B. Sparks booth to view more of her amazing work.
If your dog hasn't yet been microchipped, our sponsor Sunset Hill Veterinary Clinic will be on-site to place the rice-grain-sized chip with a quick and painless injection. The entire $30 fee will be donated to the animals at PAWS.
This permanent form of identification, in conjunction with a collar and ID tag, has already proven countless times to be the best way to ensure your best friend finds his or her way home.
For just $15, professional dog training staff will test your dog for his or her good behavior in six different situations. Upon passing, your dog will be certified with the American Kennel Club that he or she meets the standards of a well-trained and well-behaved canine citizen.
In addition, you will receive a CGC certified dog tag, so the world will know your best friend is a good citizen. Read more about the CGC program.
Looking to adopt another loving and deserving canine into your family? PAWS Companion Animal Shelter will have several dogs at PAWSwalk looking for good homes for an adoption fee that includes spay/neuter surgery, initial vaccinations, and a microchip. Be sure to stop by and say hello to them, even if you're just looking.
Learn from PAWS Wildlife Center experts about peaceful ways of co-existing with wildlife in your area. From night-time Raccoon visits, to birds nesting in your attic, there are effective, humane choices for preventing and solving conflicts, and this is where you'll find them.
More than 30 sponsors will be at PAWSwalk this year with free samples, great shopping and lots of fun. Be sure to visit all of our great supporters' booths!
