A Few Special Thank You's to Our Friends

Jenna DuCharme, student at Maser's Academy of Fine Grooming, and Natasha Anderson, student at Petco Grooming Salon, for volunteering to groom some of the 34 dogs who came to us from the Kennewick area puppy mill in desperate need of bathing and clipping.

The veterinarians at VCA's West Seattle Veterinary Hospital, Magnolia Animal Hospital, Sno-Wood Animal Hospital and Crown Hill Animal Hospital for providing dental procedures and the Veterinary Specialty Center of Seattle for doing an orthopedic surgery for the rescued puppy mill dogs.

Gardening guru Ciscoe Morris and Wight's Home & Garden in Lynnwood for hosting Pansies for PAWS, a fundraiser that raised more than $1,000 for the animals.

Wendy Hatch of The Alford Group, Seattle Prosecuting Attorney Marc Mayo, Officer Wendy Willette of WDFW and Christine Schell for giving their time on a Saturday to present at our Board of Directors' retreat.

Realtor Robert Lani of John L. Scott for hosting monthly Gone to the Dogs happy hour fundraisers, and his network of friends on Biznik for turning out to support the animals.

PAWS' young friends Emelie, Mikayla and Allegra for hosting a bake sale and donation drive as part of a special service learning project, raising more than $400 and a mountain of needed items for the animals.

Northwest Auto Salon and UW's Sigma Phi Epsilon for hosting the Red Square Charity Car Show and raising more than $1,000 to help the animals.
