A Few Special Thank Yous To Our Friends

Catherine Hannan and her friends and family for organizing the 2nd Annual Sun Puppies Dog Walk. More than 50 neighbors and their canine friends "walked the walk," and raised over $1,000 for PAWS!

The employees of Milgard Windows and Doors of Tacoma for donating dog and cat food, heating pads, food for wildlife, tools, leashes, bowls and more.

Dr. Chelsey Newby for volunteering her time in PAWS’ spay/neuter clinic and helping with animal care rounds at the shelter.

The Chas H. Beresford Company for generous donations of carpet and flooring for the shelter and administration areas, and star volunteer Marria Ferry for all her hard work to facilitate this transformational donation.

Hadley, Grace and Sophia for raising $220 through their lemonade stand and bake sale at the Mercer Island QFC store.

Lake Serene Safeway for gifts of fresh produce to feed PAWS’ wildlife patients.

Chris Morgan, director of Insight Wildlife Management and co-director of Grizzly Bear Outreach Project, for his fascinating presentation on Grizzly Bears.

Steve Habecker and the staff at Norm’s Eatery and Alehouse in Fremont for hosting a summer party and raffle for PAWS.

Martyn Stewart for the digitally recorded bird sounds CD and sound system donation that helps the songbirds feel at home in PAWS’ baby bird nursery. Visit Martyn’s web site at www.naturesound.org.

Lannie White, manager of Star Rentals in Everett, for donating the use of a backhoe for several projects at the Wildlife Center.

The staff and patrons of Bad Albert’s Tap Room and Grille in Ballard for donating food, cat litter, bowls and toys for the animals in our care.

Eagle Scout Roger Bumgarner for raising money for all the supplies needed to build a new raptor enclosure, and for rolling up his sleeves and building it!

Franziska Edward, one of the most tireless and hard-working volunteers of the Seattle Goose Program, and park captain at Matthews Beach for three years running.

The seventh grade students of St. Mary Magdalen School in Everett, who ran a math fair for the entire school and raised $830 to help the animals at PAWS.

Bob Donovan and Paul Zimmerman for completing their 7th annual Paddle for PAWS! Special thanks also to Captain Ricky, kayakers Dawn and Heather, and Bob and Paul’s wonderful family and friends.
