PAWS invites you to honor your special animal friends who had a significant impact or influence on your life. We all have had those magical encounters, those unique relationships that forever changed how we feel about other living creatures. In sharing those memories with others, we validate and affirm the intrinsic value of the animal-human bond. Please share your story and help create the PAWS "Reflections Wall."
Perhaps you had a kitten who helped you through the sorrow of losing your grandmother. Maybe your adolescence was less painful because of the long rides you took with your palomino mare. Possibly, your family dog pulled you from a river and saved you from drowning. Whatever your story may be, extraordinary animals in your life can now be recognized and remembered.
Submit your story of 250 words or less and a photograph of you and your unique friend to PAWS. The submissions will be used to build the PAWS "Reflections Wall," a beautiful tribute to the numerous animals who have touched our lives. The "Reflections Wall" will be featured and will serve as our inspiration at PAWSwalk on October 2, 2004 at Sand Point Magnuson Park in Seattle. Following PAWSwalk, these stories and photos will become part of PAWS Animal Tales at www.paws.org.
To participate, send your submissions to PAWS, PO Box 1037, Lynnwood, WA 98046. We must receive entries by 5 pm on September 13, 2004 in order to be included on the "Reflections Wall." We will not be able to return photos or stories so please do not send us your only copy. For questions, call 425.787.2500, ext. 833. We look forward to your inspiration.
