Education Manager
The full time permanent position sets vision and develops/executes a comprehensive and results-oriented education plan for PAWS—developing and managing a PAWS Education program that inspires children and adults to have compassionate attitudes towards and understanding of all animals. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Presenting education programs in a variety of elementary schools, teaching to current standards and keeping curriculum updated
  • Supervising staff of two, performing annual reviews and creating a positive work environment in which they are supported to deliver high quality, relevant work
  • Developing education-related materials to support all activities
  • Staying abreast of all Washington State and national educational standards related to PAWS programs.

Development Manager/Annual Fund
The is a full time permanent position responsible for developing and managing PAWS’ annual giving program. This position manages the donor relations staff and assists with other donor directed fundraising activities. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Work closely with the Director of Development & Community Relations to develop, implement and evaluate detailed annual plan to meet annual fund development goals
  • Analyze donor data and recommend/implement fundraising strategies to grow Annual Fund
  • Create and manage donor acquisition and cultivation strategies
  • Oversee, develop and implement all coding, acknowledgment and reporting protocols and processes for development software, including but not limited to Raiser’s Edge, Kintera, ImportOmatic, Auction Maestro and Gift Tool

Wildlife Rehabilitator
This is a full time permanent position starting June 1, 2015. Headquartered in Lynnwood, WA, PAWS is a nationally recognized leader in rehabilitating injured and orphaned wildlife. The Wildlife Rehabilitator provides daily animal care at PAWS Wildlife Center. 

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Performing examinations and basic rehabilitation assessments on incoming patients
  • Fulfilling daily care plans of wildlife patients including but not limited to nutritional, caging and medical needs
  • Ensuring that cages and facilities are cleaned and maintained daily, feeding schedules are adhered to and other animal care needs are met
  • Supervising, training and mentoring volunteers, interns and seasonal staff
  • Assisting the Wildlife Rehabilitation Manager, Veterinary Technician and Veterinarian with patient rounds and assisting with treatments and surgery as needed

Adoption Advisor
This role provides for the comfort and health care of cats and dogs at our companion animal shelter, and assists the public and animal control officers in their transactions with PAWS.

Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Processing incoming and outgoing animals
  • Administering vaccinations, immunizations and treatment for injuries and illness as prescribed by a veterinarian
  • Providing accurate information and courteous service to the public
