Spice - April 2008

Dear PAWS,

I adopted "Spice" a 9 year old Orange DSH from Cat City in Greenwood. She was originally surrendered in Everett then transfered to Lynnwood and then Cat City. When I first met Spice she was a talker, a jealous little thing that would push the other cat out of the way so you could pet her, and quite sassy. I actually went to visit my sister who works/volunteers at Cat City and sat in the visiting rooms with the cats and talked. Spice walked up to me talking and sat in my lap purring. The thing that made my heart melt was when I said "Oh Spice I wish I could take you home" and she put her paw in my hand and started making dough and was talking non-stop and looking straight at me.

I already had 2 dogs (both love cats...in the good way) so I was uncertain if I could take her. The next day I came and got her. I couldn't let her go as she had been at Cat City for 10 days, and I felt she needed a good home and I loved her. When I took her home she found the dogs and curled up next to them and slept. They have been best friends ever since. They clean each other, and she sleeps with them when she's not sleeping under my covers. I love my new cat, and I am glad she walked into my life. Thank you very much PAWS!
