Caesar

Dear PAWS:

We want to thank you for giving us the opportunity to open up our home and hearts to our new family member, Caesar. On Saturday, November 6th, we had to put to sleep our beloved kitty, Zen. She had been with us for over 14 years and was so cherished by all. It was hard on all of us and there was such a void. Our two dogs were so sad and it was heart wrenching to see them mope around the house. I decided to look into adopting another cat. When I went to PAWS that same day I told myself I was just looking.

Needless to say there was one kitten that kept jumping into my lap. He was all black and quite a bit larger than the other kittens and older as he was almost 6 months. I had my eye on a cute gray and white tabby baby but Joseph, as he was called then at PAWS, kept pushing his way back into my lap. He was so sweet and there seemed to be some unknown connection. My heart was still filled with grief over Zen so I decided to wait on adopting another cat.

One of the very kind women at PAWS though said she would hold him until 4:00 that afternoon so that my husband could come look at him. My husband came by about an hour later and Caesar jumped right into his lap. The two of us realized that we had found a new family member to spoil!

We brought him home that afternoon and were concerned how he might react with our two dogs and vice versa. Gee were we surprised! From the first moment they all got along great! It was like they had always been together and loved each other. We do think Caesar believes he is a dog though!

Caesar has brought us all so much happiness and laughter. I know Zen is looking down from heaven and happy that we have him. We want to thank PAWS for introducing us to our newest and loved family member!

Sincerely,
Kim, Ernie, Bonnie, Zeke and now Caesar.

Update:
We cannot thank you enough for our newest family member, Caesar! We adopted him last November from your Greenwood facility. He is such a sweetie and loves our two dogs as they love him. They are so great together. We do believe Caesar thinks he is a small dog! Thank you again for your dedication to animals.
