Bear

We adopted "Vickie", a black Chow mix on April 24th, 2003. After a year we can look back with a smile or two as she turned out to have separation anxiety and wrecked the house. With love, behavior modification, and an occasional valium she has settled in. Boy has she settled in. Sleeps in our bed. Eats beef stew (homemade) over kibbles. Has gained 20 lbs. Is happy playful. Drags us on 2 mi. walks daily. Loves children and adults but is "iffy" around other dogs. Wants to chase cats, squirrels and birds (not allowed). Is incredibly well mannered and trained. Somewhat aloof at time but that's ok. We love her so very much and we are grateful that you held onto her until we came. This is a wonderful addition to our family. All call her Bear and have since the beginning and she responded so quickly that we wonder if that was her original name. How her original owners didn't pursue her is a mystery. Thank you so much.
