Help stop the Omak Suicide Race!
In the 20 years PAWS has been monitoring the Omak Suicide Race, 20 horses have been killed. In 2004, three horses were killed in the first heat alone- click here for the complete history.
Your generous contributions have allowed PAWS to work diligently on our most current campaign to evoke action both locally and nationally to end the Omak Suicide Race. We have worked tirelessly to evoke action and we need your help to continue this important work.

Here is what your donations have made possible thus far--
- Negotiated the withdrawl of Wal-Mart and Crown Royal's financial sponsorship of the Omak Stampede.
- Established ongoing dialog with other sponsors of the Omak Stampede including Les Schwab Tires, Jack Daniels, Campbell's Soup Co., Pepsi, Wrangler Jeans and more.
- Led a loyal group of over 300 "Suicide Erasers" in a letter writing campaign to corporate sponsors and government officials.
- Coordinated a successful grassroots campaign to involve other local and national groups in the campaign including the ASPCA, American Humane, PETA, International Fund for Horses, Association of Veterinarian for Animal Rights, In Defense of Animals and more.
- Collected over 4,500 signatures, and growing, on a petition to stop the race that will be presented to Governor Christine Gregoire.
You can help us continue to make such great strides for the horses of Omak.
