There are many reasons why guardians believe they cannot keep their pets. In fact, tens of thousands of unwanted dogs and cats end up in Puget Sound shelters every year. Many of these animals are adopted by new families, and sadly, others are humanely euthanized.

PAWS provides high quality, professional and compassionate care to dogs and cats in need at our shelter. But the fact remains, that no matter how good a shelter is, the best place for companion animals is in a loving home.
