Urgent Call to Action: Spay/Neuter Assistance Bill

Please Take 5 Minutes Today to Help the Spay/Neuter Assistance Bill! Last week, hearings were held in Olympia on the companion animal spay/neuter assistance bills (SB 5202 and HB 1229). Our sincere thanks to everyone who contacted their legislators or made the trip to Olympia to offer testimony in support of these bills. On Thursday, February 14, HB 1229 is scheduled for executive session, which means the House Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee may vote on moving the spay/neuter bill out of committee. It's important to let your legislators know that you want this bill to move forward and support it getting voted out of committee.

1. Go to the legislature's website page for HB 1229.
2. Click on the green button to the right of the bill number that says "Comment on this bill."
3. Follow the instructions for submitting comments. The first time you submit comments you will asked to quickly set up an account.
4. Type in your message. Please urge your legislators to do all they can to help HB 1229, the spay/neuter assistance bill, get passed through the House Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee since it is scheduled for executive session (a possible vote) on Thursday 2/14. Tell your legislators why this bill is important to you and the people in your community.
