Urgent Call to Action: Spay/Neuter Assistance Bill

The companion animal spay/neuter assistance bill, SSB 5202, passed the State Senate on March 13. It is now being considered in the House.

To keep the bill alive, it is important that we show our support for this bill today!

If possible, please attend the hearing on SSB 5202 scheduled for Wednesday, March 27, 2013 before the House Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee. This will be the last hearing this bill will have this session.

If You Cannot Attend the Hearing, Call or Write Your State Representatives!

Please contact your state representatives in one or more of these three ways:
  1. Call the legislative hotline at 1-800-562-6000. You will want to leave a message for your two state representatives (not your state senator).
  2. Email your state representatives directly. You will find their email addresses located here.
  3. Call your state representatives. Their phone numbers are listed here.
If you're not sure who your representatives are, you can look them up here or contact us and we'll help you.

In your communication with your legislators, be sure to mention the bill's name and number (Companion Animal Spay/Neuter Assistance Bill, SSB 5202) and respectfully ask for their support getting it passed through the House Agriculture & Natural Resources Committee.  Close your message with your name and street address so they'll know you are a constituent.

Please call or write to your legislators by March 27 to help pass this important bill! Questions or need help? Contact us at info@savewashingtonpets.org.

On behalf of PAWS and the animals in our community, thank you!
