Urgent Call to Action: Protect Wolves in WA

Please Take 5 Minutes Today to Oppose SSB 5187! We are seeing progress on a harmful bill in the legislature this session that will severely undermine wolf conservation efforts and allow increased lethal control of wolves by livestock producers without first exhausting non-lethal measures. This bill sets an extremely dangerous precedent for state endangered species management. It already passed by a narrow margin in the Senate and has now moved on to the House. If passed, this bill will allow livestock and pet owners to kill wolves without obtaining a permit or any form of prior permission, potentially undermining wolf recovery efforts in Washington state. Please ask your legislator to oppose SSB 5187 and continue to protect endangered gray wolves from being indiscriminately killed without the proper permits or proof of incident.
