PAWSwalk 2004
After a stormy September, the sun shone on nearly 900 PAWS supporters and their canine companions as they gathered for PAWSwalk on October 2nd in Seattle’s Magnuson Park. Their enthusiasm and determination raised over $107,000 to support the programs and services of PAWS.
At the celebration following the walk, sponsors of the event showcased their goods and services, folks enjoyed the surf sounds of the Seamonkees, and performances from the Emerald City Canine Freestyle Dancers and the FIDO dog drill team.
Penny Legate from KIRO TV, was the Grand Marshal for the day—kicking-off the walk and announcing prize winners, including the top pledge collector, Kobi Yamada, who brought in a whopping $2,796 to help the animals! Wild Things was tops among the more than 30 teams who walked too, raising more than $5,000.
Thank you to all our supporters for your dedication and for making this one of the most successful PAWSwalks yet. Stay tuned to www.pawswalk.net and we’ll look forward to seeing you again next year!
Thank you to more than 150 volunteers, including a group from Comcast, and to the many sponsors and participants who helped create a successful event.
