A wild night had by all at Wildnight 99

Wild Night, the annual PAWS auction, raised more than $108,000 for PAWS’ programs.

The March 8 auction was co-hosted by KING-TV’s John Curley and KMTT 103.7 FM The Mountain’s John Fisher.

The evening began with a silent auction featuring hundreds of donated items. Participants bid on packages ranging from a tour of KUOW-FM, to a giant comfy doggie bed, to a day at a health spa.

As guests were finishing their vegan dinners, the real excitement began, as auctioneer Mardi Newman started the live auction.

Dozens of unique items went on the block. Among the most popular items was a "Soundgarden fan" package. The winning bid of $3,600 earned a platinum record as presented to Soundgarden, as well as lunch with Soundgarden’s lead singer, Chris Cornell, followed by a preview of Cornell’s forthcoming solo album.

PAWS "experiences" were popular as well, as bidders bought the right to participate on the release of eagles, bears, and other wildlife.

The PAWS Development staff thanks all who donated items and attended Wild Night.
