The Greenwood Adoption Center continues to successfully adopt out cats and kittens to permanent, loving homes. Since opening in mid-August, we have placed 363 cats and kittens. We have also expanded our retail items to include starter kits (litterbox, scooper, dishes), toys, grooming aids, and more. The store carries gifts for animal lovers such as cards, sweatshirts, and books. We are located at 8503 Greenwood Ave. N., tel: 206-782-1700, and open weekdays from noon-6PM, weekends 11AM-5PM.

The International Wildlife Film Festival, held annually in Missoula, MT, is a juried competition that attracts some of the best filmmakers in the world. Now this festival is bringing five award winning wildlife films to Seattle.

The PAWS Wildlife Center will host about 500 wildlife rehabilitators, veterinarians, zookeepers, and wildlife biologists from all over the US, Canada, and abroad for the sixteenth annual Symposium of the National Wildlife Rehabilitators Association (NWRA) in March. The Symposium ‘98, titled "Turning the Tide for Wildlife," is the first NWRA conference ever to be held in the Northwest.
