Below are descriptions of the cats
their foster parents provided. PAWS will take up to six
qualified applications per cat. Adopters will also be
required to sign an additional document outlining the
terms and conditions related to the adoption of cats displaced
by the storms. For more information on adopting and to
download an adoption application click
here.
You can complete the application and bring it with you to PAWS Cat City (hours
and directions) where the cats are currently staying.

Gemini – 44340, 3 years old, brown tabby,
short-haired, female:
Gemini is a spunky and
outgoing girl who thinks she is six months young, not
three years old! She loves to play with toys and has
tons of energy. Gemini is definitely not shy—she
prefers the company of people to anything else, but
would prefer to sit next to you instead of on your lap.
She doesn't seem fazed by other animals, but doesn't
show much interest in them either. She just seems to want
to be the boss. Gemini can be a hard player, and should
probably not be around young children due to her rough
play style. Oh, and Gemini definitely likes to eat! She
would probably benefit from a home that would be willing
to monitor her diet and weight to prevent her from getting
too chunky.
Joanie – 44338, 12 years old, short-haired
Manx, female:
Joanie is definitely more of
a people person than a cat person. Her foster family
quickly learned that Joanie prefers human company to
that of other pets. While Joanie doesn't seem to mind
the other animals, including dogs, she’d rather
spend her time with the human family.
Joanie has a mischievous side and likes to "counter
surf" and get into everything! She has no idea that
she is labeled a senior citizen of the kitty world. Energetic
and very talkative, she simply loves toys of all shapes
and sizes. Joanie is not a lap cat but does like to sit
next to you. She also thinks that sleeping on the pillow
next to your head at night is right where she belongs.
ADOPTED: Mandy– 44339,
7 years old, black and white, short-haired,
female:
Mandy acts much
younger than her seven years and thinks she should be
playing to show off her energy. She is very curious
but can be cautious too in that special cat-like way.
She is very playful and runs after the ball and loves
to chase the feather toys.
Mandy seems like a self-reliant cat, yet likes to be
near people. She’s been very sweet and is a nice,
playful girl who’d be happy to be spoiled with lots
of toys and playtime with a new family.
ADOPTED: Morris– 44341,
15 years old, orange tabby, short-haired,
male:
Morris' story is the only
one for which we have some details. A neighbor found
him in his house where sadly, his feline sibling had
already died. Morris is a very talkative old man whose
main complaint in life is that there isn't a human around
that sits down enough! He is definitely a lap cat who
adores hours and hours of lap time. Morris does not
like confinement and prefers to roam his home as he
sees fit. His favorite treat is Whiskas Temptations
and will let you know vocally when he thinks he's due
for a snack.
Even though Morris has hardly any teeth, he seems to
prefer dry kibble to canned cat food, but would like the
option of both, thank you very much. He is healthy, but
should have some dental work and may encounter some issues,
as he gets older, as we all do. He is a wonderful guy
who occasionally has a bout of kitten-hood and will play
with toys. He will start his play and then stop suddenly,
as if he just remembered that he was too old for such
childish games! Morris is definitely chock-full of personality!
